The armour stays on.
Demons were slayed tonight.
The others – they’d never get it, will they?
The walls are pretty high
And the leap
Takes too much of an effort
It is unfair to ask them to do all the work, isn’t it?
So the armour stays on
Until the demons are out of sight
Then you can give your sword too a break.
Some day you’d get tired of carrying the armour,
The weight will bury your youth down
For today, wrap it closer and keep it close.
And hold on tight, till the day
You are ready to rip the armour away.
