The Wrath of the Dragon

9/8/2013 Writing challenge. What if a dragon attacks?.

Burnt orange sky lies still
as the flames of the dragon lick the horizon
the beast has set fire to the sky
down goes the city and the civilization
The wrath of the dragon has prevailed

It stomps, scares
the citizens of the damned city and the villages
swaying and destroying anything in its way.
the air? is now soot

The young and old ,
the one's from the mansion and the street flee side by side
at the brink of their death
with the dragon at their heels
death is indiscriminate

Such pity and destruction
by me
For...

I set the dragon free.

  1. Great verse and a little different take on the challenge. I like it. Thanks for your post. Pingbacks were turned off for the original challenge but I’ve posted an update and linked back to yours.
